The market will take place from 1 to 3 March in Cartagena (Colombia), and will bring together the most notable representatives of the audiovisual sector in the Americas.

RTVE will take advantage of this grand event to publicly launch its new channel STAR HD, in High Definition. A channel that will showcase our best drama and entertainment programs in High Definition.

With its new channel, STAR HD, Corporación RTVE is committing itself to bringing its best entertainment shows and the best drama series and movies to viewers who follow us in the Americas. Furthermore, as a leader in technological innovation in the audiovisual sector, we will also make the most of the advantages offered by HD to enhance the viewing experience for the audience and allow them to enjoy the best picture quality.

STAR HD is a thematic channel, whose schedule will consist of RTVE’s best drama and entertainment shows (proportionally 80% and 20% respectively), supplementing the current offer of RTVE channels in the Americas: TVE Internacional and 24 Horas.

In its schedule we must highlight series such as: Isabel, El Ministerio del Tiempo, Águila Roja, Cuéntame cómo pasó, Los Misterios de Laura, Españoles en el mundo, and many more.

This new channel can be viewed in the Americas through the Galaxy 23 and Hispasat 1E satellites.

Andina Link is a major market in Latin America in the field of free-to-air television, cable television and telecommunications technology. More than 90 exhibitors from 34 countries will meet to present the latest developments relating to cable television technology, as well as to analyze the television market in Latin America and share its experiences.

A large number of visitors (more than 1,500 in 2015) belonging to different companies related to the audiovisual sector, such as broadcasters, cable operators and other telecommunications companies and distributors will attend this market.

RTVE’s team, led by Rodolfo Domínguez, Commercial Director, and María Jesús Pérez, Channel Sales Deputy Director, will welcome all visitors to the fair at an event where they will officially present the channel, which started broadcasting free-to-air on January 18.
