The Badajoz Racing School, playing with speed

The 'Badajoz Racing School', located in the kart racing centre of Talavera la Real, is training six boys between the ages of 5 and 11 to be motorcycle racing drivers. The school has only been operating for a little over a year and two of its pupils are competing in the national championship in its category.

When students are around 10 years old they can reach speeds of up to 140 km/h in the competition tasks. One of the students is Hadrian Alonso, age 9, who has only spent one year on a motorcycle. He has seen a lot of enthusiasm for the sport in his family ever since he was little, and he tells us that "in football, they never let me play, and I got bored". Ivan Bolaño, the son of a racer, is another 11-year-old student who was quad biking when he was only 3 years old.
