Request made for bedbound girl to be transferred to a different hospital

The parents of Sandra Jiménez, a young girl who is bedbound after receiving treatment for lupus, are requesting for her to be transferred to a specialised centre so that she can start neurological rehabilitation. They believe that her stay in the San Pedro de Alcántara hospital in Cáceres is not helping her recover her mobility.

On 19 January, Sandra Jiménez suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest two hours after starting intravenous treatment for the lupus that she suffers. As a result of this medical incident, in which she could have died, the young girl from Extremadura lost mobility in her arms and legs and can barely make sounds. Her parents are asking for her to be transferred urgently to a specialised hospital in a different autonomous community, so that she can be treated for her neurological paralysis.
