Transexuality normalised in schools in the Canary Islands

The regional government has adopted a new mandatory protocol. Teachers will be required to refer to trans students by the gender pronoun they identify with. Trans students will be also be allowed to go to the restrooms and changing rooms commensurate with their gender identity, and they will be allowed to choose the way they dress.

The protocol implements the 2014 law and establishes that teachers will call young trans students by the gender pronoun that they identify with. Class lists, report cards, student IDs and library cards will also carry the name and gender pronoun trans students identify with. In order to accomplish this, the computer system has been changed. A new change to normalise diversity!
