London-based writer and journalist Simon Garfield has written 15 books of non-fiction including "On The Map", "Just My Type" and "To The Letter". His study of the history of AIDS in Britain, "The End of Innocence", won the Somerset Maugham Prize, and his works have been translated into more than 20 languages.
