Unhcr conference: Refugee crisis

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees along with many NGO's and Amnesty International have decried the failure of governments in the West to respond to the refugee crisis in accord both with human decency and international law.  The EU deal with Turkey, also known as the deal of shame, is set to go into effect Monday with the massive deportation of Syrian, Libyan, Iraqi, Afghan and other migrants from Greece to Turkey. AI has denounced Turkey's treatment of Syrian refugees with cases of summary expulsions.
