The Future of Internet & A Farewell to the Cafe Comercial

 Today's program features two reports. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of its Telecommunications Engineering School, Madrid's UPM invited one of the Fathers of the Internet, Vinton Cerf, to talk about a future already in the works: the internet of things and the interplanetary communications.  The Chief Internet Evangelist for Google also spoke about the unresolved problems of security and privacy in this brave new world in which household appliances answer commands from cellphones.  Then, Madrid's oldest cafe, the Café Comercial, has suddenly closed and the owners still haven't said why.
