We welcome to our studio Jimmy Barnatán, a Spanish actor who has appeared in numerous films and television series, and who besides acting maintains several parallel artistic careers, one of which is that of a blues and rhythm'n'blues singer. Jimmy Barnatán has now released four albums, the last two with his band, The Cocooners, and he and the band have just kicked off a two-month, 24-date tour of Spain which began in Madrid and will end near Santander. We hear music from the latest album, "MotorClub," including a song performed live in our studios, with Jimmy accompanied on the guitar by Sergio González. And Jimmy talks to Justin Coe about his musical background, for instance his formative experiences in New York singing gospel and spirituals at a church in Harlem and then hanging out at Arthur's Tavern, one of the Big Apple's classic venues for jazz and blues ( www.arthurstavernnyc.com/ ).
