Sax Gordon & Lluís Coloma

Justin Coe welcomes two virtuoso performers to our studios: American saxophone player Gordon Beadle, known to his fans simply as "Sax Gordon," and Lluís Coloma, a boogie-woogie piano player from Barcelona. Sax Gordon and the Lluís Coloma Trio (with Manolo Germán on stand-up bass and Marc Ruiz on drums) are performing this week at Madrid's Café Central jazz club. Sax Gordon and Lluís Coloma have returned to the Spanish capital to present their debut album together, "Racan Rol." Released on Fresh Sound Records, it's a full-tilt ahead CD of boogie boogie and jump blues with the added energy of early rock'n'roll.
