Today's guests are Orlando Robson from Britain and Nicole Pearson from the United States, two "guiris" as English-speaking foreigners in Spain are familiarly called, who have made their careers in this country. Orlando teaches English and Nicole runs her business, "Nicole Angela Travel & Taste," dedicated to "helping the food-curious adventurer foster an authentic connection to Spanish culture, its people and its history."
Both Nicole and Orlando are also activists and devote a lot of their time working for social change. Nicole co-founded the Madrid chapter of the movement "Black Lives Matter", and Orlando created the Ada Project, whose goal is to help African immigrants in Madrid become language teachers, and beyond that, to promote fellowship between Spaniards and Africans living here.
