Performances

Today's program features a brief performance by British pianist James Rhodes, live at the presentation for this year's Summer Festival in San Lorenzo de El Escorial, which promises weeks of great music and theater in the mountain town outside Madrid.  We also report on a popular new micro-theater in the Spanish capital, La pensión de pulgas, where performers mingle with the audience in what had once been a private apartment.  Its co-founder refers to it as "immersive theater" and talks with us along with the director and choreographer of the Compañia Nacional de Danza, whose company prepared a show especially for that venue.
