Panorama: Syria & White Helmets

As the military operation in Mosul, Iraq continues, in Aleppo Syria, Russian and Syrian government forces have called a unilateral ceasefire to open corredors for residents to escape the rebel-held Eastern part of the city and to allow the entry of humanitarian aid.  Jihadist rebels in Eastern Aleppo say they are ready for battle.  Meanwhile, more European leaders are calling the bombardment of civilians in Aleppo a war crime. The humanitarian crisis in the city is given voice and image by the group the White Helmets, working with the jihadists and funded by Britain and the US.  Today's program includes analysis from Prof. Stephen Cohen and investigation into the White Helmets by Vanessa Beeley.
