Panorama - Bad Possum

Today's program focuses on the EP "Fire On The Jukejoint," the debut recording of a new blues band on Madrid's vibrant blues music scene. The band is Bad Possum, a blues foursome whose artistic focus is the so-called hill country blues of northern Mississippi, a style of music developed and played by such bluesmen as R. L. Burnside, Junior Kimbrough, T-Model Ford, and Asie Payton. The leading hill country blues record label is Fat Possum Records, hence the Madrid band's choice of names. Our program includes the following songs, all performed by Bad Possum and all but two written by the band: Fire On The Jukejoint, Take It Back To The Bridge (Asie Payton), Broken Down, My Babe (Willie Dixon), When She Rolls, and Fix the Fucking World.
