Today's program begins with two news reports, one on the Spanish and European responses to the NGO ships Open Arms and Ocean Viking that rescued nearly 500 migrants between them from the Mediterranean waters; the other on the crisis in Kashmir since India's unilateral revocation of the region's autonomy. We end the program with music from the debut album of a new blues duo formed by Spanish harmonica ace Marcos Coll and Chicago multi-instrumentalist Will Jacobs. Released in 2019 on the Baque record label Gaztelupeko Hotsak under the title "Takin Our Time," the album is one of the best blues albums released in Spain not just this year, but this decade.
