We begin today's program with Spanish news and the current political impasse.  That's followed by reports on the negotiations between Russia and the US on a ceasefire in Syria, and the escalating violence that country is suffering.  Fleeing from the fighting, millions of Syrians have been displaced, some of them have sought refuge in Europe, only to find obstacles and opposition, as reflected in the recent regional elections in Germany.
