English Language Broadcast   North By Southwest - Rambert (part II) 28/04/2015 30:11

In the second part of this double edition of the programme we return to London to complete our visit to Britain's oldest dance company, Rambert, formerly known as Rambert Dance Company and before that as Ballet Rambert. Rambert was established in 1926 and is now Britain's flagship modern dance company, employing more dancers and artists than any other in the UK. In today's programme we meet Cuban dancer and choreographer Miguel Altunaga, physiotherapist Herbert Trabanino and Rehearsal Director Mikaela Polley, who give us a glimpse of life within this celebrated dance company. We also go on a tour of Rambert's state-of-the-art new premises in the company of Artistic Director, Mark Baldwin, take part in a rehearsal and visit the wardrobe department as well as the Rambert archive - one of the oldest and most complete dance archives in the world.  For more on Rambert, visit their website at: www.rambert.org.uk
