This week we visit a theatre festival with a difference, that maybe by now is actually not considered all that different. Una mirada diferente - A different look - is a performing arts festival focussed on disability and organised annually in Madrid by the Centro Dramático Nacional, Spain’s national theatre. The festival only programmes theatre, dance and music about, created or performed by disabled artists, writers, DJs, directors and producers. Now in its fourth year, the festival has grown considerably in size and prestige. We speak to members of Scottish theatre company Birds of Paradise about their production, Wendy Hoose, one of the highlights of this latest edition of Una mirada diferente. And we hear from Inés Enciso, co-director of the festival.
