Alison Hughes and Justin Coe open and read cards, letters, and e-mails from listeners in India, Britain, and the U.S.A., and end on a pristine musical note thanks to the Scottish band Travis, who have just been performing in Spain.  Their response to the 2003 U.S.-led invasion of Iraq was a song called "The Beautiful Occupation" that was included on the album they released later that year titled "12 Memories."  We hear an acoustic version of the song included on the compilation album "Hope," released after the invasion by London Records as an initiative of the British charity War Child ( www.warchild.org.uk ) and the Daily Mirror.  Other artists contributing to this charity effort for the children of Iraq included Paul McCartney, David Bowie, Billy Bragg, and Yusuf Islam, formerly known as Cat Stevens, whose "Peace Train" closes this wonderful album of hope in the face of those Dylan called the Masters of War (23/07/14).
