English Language Broadcast   A life to be honored: Josefina Samper 22/02/2018 32:17

Josefina Samper created the Democratic Women's Movement in 1965 and led the wives and families of Spain's political prisoners into action to improve the conditions of jails under the Franco regime. Together with her husband, founder of the labor union Comisiones Obreras, Marcelino Camacho, Josefina Samper provided an example of resistence during the last and violent years of the dictatorship. Last week, at the age of 90, Josefina Samper died. Today's tribute recovers interviews she gave our colleague Germán Sánchez.
