Javier Vargas

Justin Coe presents music from the latest project by Spanish blues-rocker Javier Vargas, who is joined by veteran musicians Tim Bogert on bass and Carmine Appice on drums for a forthcoming album of classic rock numbers on the Warner Music label. Bogert and Appice first played together in the 60's as members of the psychedelic group Vanilla Fudge. In the 70's they formed part of Cactus and played with Jeff Beck, and since then they have worked with many artists and groups, from Pink Floyd and Ozzy Ozbourne to Rick Derringer and Bob Weir. Vargas, Bogert and Appice are joined for the new album by vocalist Paul Shortino (25/05/11).
