Enrique Granados & Daniel Ligorio

In 1916 the Spanish composer Enrique Granados went to the United States where he premiered the opera based on his "Goyescas" and where he performed a special recital for President Woodrow Wilson.  Because of the war in Europe, New York was the only city prepared at that time to premier the opera.  And because of the war in Europe, the ferry Granados took from England to France was torpedoed by a German U-boat.  Award-winning pianist Daniel Ligorio talks about his latest CD dedicated to pieces by Granados.
