Bryn Terfel and Josep Caballé-Domenech at the Royal Opera...

The Welsh bass-baritone Bryn Terfel was in Madrid recently for what many music-lovers and critics considered a long-overdue recital at the Teatro Real, the Royal Opera House. Terfel was accompanied on stage before a full house by the house orchestra, the Orquesta Sinfónica de Madrid, under the baton of Catalan conductor Josep Caballé-Domenech, in a recital with a varied program including works by Wagner, Offenbach, Boito, Weill, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Lowe and Lerner, and Bock and Harnick.
