After the newscast comes a special interview to mark the 60th anniversary of the first successful ascent of Mount Everest, whose summit was reached on this date in 1953 by Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay. Justin Coe and Frank Smith talk to Gina Stobart, the daughter of Tom Stobart, who was with the famous 1953 expedition and made the film documentary "The Conquest of Everest" about it. Then, in "North By Southwest", Nicolas Jackson attends the SOS4.8 music festival in Murcia where he discusses the future of the festival industry with Claire O'Neill of the Association of Independent Festivals in part one of a two-part report on the subject.
