After the newscast we have a special report on the massive demonstration held in the Spanish capital this past weekend. Hundreds of thousands of people took part in the March for Dignity in Madrid, a broad-based demonstration protesting against the Spanish government's economic and social policies. Violent clashes between suspected radical youth in masks and riot police left over one hundred people injured, including many police. Officials blame the march and its organizers for the violence, while the demonstrators blame the authorities, who they say planted provocateurs in order to discredit the protesters and deflect attention from the issues underlying the demonstration.
