After the news and sport comes "Face to Face," in which Frank Smith talks to Ramón Buckley, professor of contemporary Spanish literature and politics, author, translator and editor. Ramón has worked for many American Universities, both in the States and in Spain, and his books include a study of the literature and politics of the Spanish transition and another on the Spanish avant-garde.

Then, in "Other Voices," Alison Hughes visits an exhibition of art by James Castle at Madrid's Queen Sofía Modern Art Museum and reports on a Spanish village that has painted itself blue to promote a Sony Corporation animated film about the smurfs.
