After the news, today's broadcast features "This, That & the Other," with the focus on Italian mezzosoprano Cecilia Bartoli, one of the world's most commercially successful opera singers, who has just been in Spain for concerts in Barcelona and Madrid. Then comes "Other Voices," in which Alison Hughes remembers some of the artists the world has recently lost: Spain's popular song writer Juan Carlos Calderón, Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer, and Indian composer and sitar master, Ravi Shankar.
