We welcome to our studios two veteran bluesmen, Smiling Jack Smith, who regular listeners will recognize, and Steve Groves, who visits us for the first time. Smiling Jack is originally from California but has lived in Spain for years. He has performed throughout Spain and elsewhere in Europe, as well as back in the States and in Canada, where he lived for some years. And it's from Canada that Steve Groves hails, from the capital, Ottawa, in fact. Steve is in Spain these days on his second visit here to perform his music, and he brings with him a new CD, "Notes From the Underground," from which we hear several tracks. We also hear a couple of tracks from Smiling Jack's new album, "Simple Pleasure," on which he is accompanied by David Gwynn, another American bluesman who lives in Madrid.
