English language broadcast - 05/06/13

After the newscast we remember Spanish poet and playwright Federico García Lorca on the 115th anniversary of his birth, and then comes Listeners Club, featuring letters from listeners in Bangladesh, Denmark, and the U.S.A.--all part of our far-flung "family of shortwave radio listeners." Which leads us right in to the 1979 Sister Sledge hit song "We Are Family," after which we taste the delicate "moscovitas," the well-known and much-loved toffee candy made by the Asturian café and confectioner Rialto.
