After the news comes "Face to Face," in which Frank Smith talks to Ramón Buckley, author, translator, editor and professor of contemporary Spanish literature and politics. Ramón Buckley has worked for many American Universities, both in the States and in Spain, and his books include a study of the literature and politics of the Spanish transition and another on the Spanish avant-garde. His latest book, a literary biography of Spanish writer Miguel Delibes, has just been published in Spanish. Then, in "Other Voices," Alison Hughes talks about Mozart's opera, La Clemenza di Tito, which has opened at Madrid's Teatro Real, the Royal Opera House, and colleague Gil Carbajal talks with the director of the theater, Gerard Mortier. The broadcast ends with a commentary on whether Euro MPs really deserve a pay rise in these hard times.
