North By Southwest

 In today's "North By Southwest", Nicolas Jackson meets British musician and producer Femme, AKA Laura Bettinson, ahead of her performance at Vida Festival in Catalonia. Formerly performing as Dimbleby & Capper, Laura Bettinson relaunched herself as Femme and recently won the "Rising Star" Award from the Mayor of London's Music Fund. Laura is also a member of Afrobeat/Electronica trio Ultraista alongside Nigel Godrich and Joey Waronker. Femme's singles include "Fever Boy", "Heartbeat" and "Daydreamer" and she is known for her strong female identity, carefully worked image and flirtatious and playful videos (23/06/14).
