Las notas del programa de mano, en inglés, decían:

Katarína Máliková is a composer, vocal and instrumental performer. She composes, plays and sings music resonating with traditional authentic Slovak songs, art-pop, classical and world music.

She originally comes from Polomka in Horehronie, where she grew up among mountains and the mystical nature of her home region left a strong echo in her production. Her debut album, Pustvopol (archaic name for Puste pole - part of the forest district), was released in November 2016 on the Slnko records label and immediately caught the interest of the public and media, quickly becoming one of the top albums in Slovakia.

Songs from this album form the majority of Katarina’s concerts, but she loves to jazz up her performances with her latest singles or older songs with the feeling of dreamy chanson and jazz.

“The music of Katarina Malikova is an ingenious convergence of excellent musical training, unique feeling for the specifics of Slovak traditional music and a creative mind. As an author and performer, she is very consistent. We can hardly find such a balanced and wide spectrum of musical expression and coherence among young artists on the Slovak independent scene. Her aesthetic emanation goes deep and strikes sensitive spots of human imagination."

Jana Ambrózová, leading Slovak ethnomusicologist and musician

“In my childhood I was touched by folklore, 90s’ pop culture which hardly found its way to Horehron. Dreams about the big city came later, together with jazz that was my remedy during teen age. Last but not least, classical music, which I graduated. Telgárt, Šumiac, or Pusté pole will always be spots that I pass with feeling of something forgotten, mysterious and haunting.”
